Arduino ULN2003 Step Motor Driver Board
On one side of the board, there is a 5-pin socket to which the cable from the stepper motor is plugged and 4 LEDs that indicate which coil is currently running.
The motor cable only goes one way, this always helps. On the side there are jumper for motor on / off operation (hold open to power the stepper motor). The two pins below the 4 resistors are where you power the cascade.
It is not recommended to power the stepper motor from the 5V channel of Arduino. A separate 5-12V 1A power supply or battery pack should be used as the motor can consume more current than the microcontroller can handle and could potentially damage it.
The card has ULN2003 integrated. The bottom part has 4 control inputs that need to be connected to four Arduino digital pins
Arduino ULN2003 Step Motor Driver Board Features
- Dimensions: 42mmx30mm
- Control Voltage Logic: 0-5V
- Drive / motor Voltage 5-15V
- Max Current: 500mA
- ULN2003 withstands up to 50 volts but it is recommended to keep it below 15 volts for safe operation.
