GP2Y0A21YK0F Sharp Sensor (10cm-80cm Analog)
Sharp GP2Y0A21YK0F Distance measurement sensor between 10cm-80cm sends an infrared light to an obstacle on the opposite side and converts Tanjan value to analog voltage thanks to the special sensor on the receiver. The values given refer to measurements made with white paper reflecting 90%. However, on gray paper reflecting 18%, the measurements are very close to the same values.
The voltage output of the sensor is not linear with the measured distance. More closely, it is linear with 1 / X. The sensor is also suitable for use as a proximity sensor.
