Adafruit K-Type Thermocouple Measuring Module (Updated Version of MAX6675) - v2.0


Thermocouples are very sensitive, they require a good amplifier with a cold equalization reference. The MAX31855K does everything for you and can be easily interfaced with any microcontroller without an analog input. The breakout board has its own chip, a 3.3V regulator with a 10uF bypass capacitor and a level shifting circuit. All collected and tested. It comes with a 2 pin terminal block (for connecting thermocouples) and pin header (for connecting to any breadboard or perfboard).

New! It can now cover wider temperature measurement ranges by using the MAX31855K instead of the MAX6675. Please note that the MAX31855 does not have pin compatibility and release code compatibility with the MAX6675. We have the Arduino library for both chips, but you need to set the current MAX6675 design for the new MAX31855. MAX6675 was stopped by Maxim. Thermocouple is not included.

Version 2.0 holds the ferrite beads and filter capacity on the board for a better balance.

  • It works with K type thermocouples.
  • It does not work with thermocouples except K type.
  • Output from -200 ° C to + 1350 ° C in 0.25 degree increments- Remember that K thermocouples are accurate within ± 2 ° C to ± 6 ° C.
  • Indoor temperature reading
  • 3.3-5V power supply and logic level compatible.
  • SPI data output requires 3 digital I / O pins.
